POSITION SUMMARY

What is the Goal of This Position:

To train and mold the future key contributors of the organization with the intent to grow the revenue, market share, brand reputation, and culture.

How Will We Achieve Our Goal:

The organization has made and continues to make a significant investment regarding training, mentoring, and tools. All levels of the organization from the sales team and operations to the management and executive teams will be engaged through direct participation in implementing the items named above.

How Will We Measure Our Progress Towards Our Goal:

There will be measurable SMART goals created, and which will be based upon the responsibilities detailed in the "responsibilities section" below. These goals will be monitored monthly and measured simi-annually.

Inside Sales Team Member Activities:

Assist in the coordination of inside sales and marketing efforts for the area Service Centers. Business conditions will dictate specific job priorities. This activity will be done using all principles of good salesmanship, including telephone selling and follow-up, job quoting, interfacing with customers (in-person and remotely), plus participation in technical and professional associations. This position is responsible for supporting the outside Sales and Operations teams. The goal of this position is to create multiple advancement pathways into the sales and operations tracks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform sales support to consistently meet overall area sales goals.
  • Develop proposals for acceptance testing and short form quotations.
  • Develop proposal for maintenance testing and review with the sales and operations team.
  • Develop proposals in response to deficiencies found in reports. Have the proposal accompany the report the customer. Set up follow up review meeting with the customer and outside sales engineer.
  • Ensure proposal pricing is accurate and technically correct.
  • Perform a regular cadence on following up on created proposal, driving them to orders.
  • Perform data mining on past projects (either lost or won) to generate new business opportunities.
  • Participate in joint sales calls with the sales and/or operations team to existing accounts.
  • Participate in joint site visits thus creating a deeper knowledge of the equipment which we work on.
  • Regularly, visit job sites where we are working on projects to gain an understanding of what we do.
  • Become familiar and proficient in the use of all tools necessary to be effective in their job performance.
  • Follow up all marketing leads, then drive to convert them into opportunities, relationships, and orders.
  • Perform marketing support to promote the Company's image throughout the industry.
  • Assist outside Sales Engineers' needs in the implementation of the marketing plan.
  • Prepare monthly sales reports for the Region.
  • Perform public relations to promote sales.
  • Active participation in trade shows and professional association groups.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
  • Graduate engineer (BSEE/BSME) and no experience. OR Graduate of electrical technical school or equivalent, and one year of similar work.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, some overnight travel to cover sales territory.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, talk and hear. Required to sit and work at computer. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Conduct walk-through of construction sites and work in and around electrical equipment.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
Full-Time Employment:

The anticipated salary range for this role in the California locality is between $86,020-107,525 per year (based on a 40-hour work week)]-salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role. The role is eligible to participate in a comprehensive and competitive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, disability, PTO, holiday pay, and 401k. Additional details about total compensation and benefits will be provided during the hiring process.
