Job Summary:

The web technician is responsible for maintaining, updating content and troubleshooting issues on existing websites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accurate change management of intranet and internet content on corporate and business websites as assigned
• Implementation of new site content population using a content management system
• Work directly with clients to understand the changes required
• Validate content is accurate in multiple environments (i.e. Custom
• ent management system
• Familiar with tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, GIF animation, image optimization and color palettes considered a plus
• Ability to know where to find resources and information on how to implement advanced web functionality if needed
• Ability to write basic code which performs well across multiple browsers, platforms and devices
• Ability to troubleshoot and fix basic code
• Optimizing code for performance and Search Engine Optimization
• Ability to build quality customer relationships that will enable the work group success

It is very important the person doing this job pays the highest attention to detail and accuracy of content. It is necessary to be at ease with condensed deadlines on projects and last minute assignments. The ability to perform quality work under tight deadlines both individually and as part of a team is a must. Good organizational and communication skills are a must. The ability to assume personal ownership and accountability for projects, goals, and outcomes; independently plans and executes own work to ensure completion of individual objectives.

The Web Technician must be technically astute and willing to learn new technologies. This position is for a self-starter, someone who is able to work with a group as well as individually, in a corporate environment. This position will expose the individual to a great deal of confidential information, so it is critical to assess risks with content in multiple environments to take least-risk approach. Number one requirement is positive "can-do" attitude with multiple priorities that can change daily; flexibility required to meet business/corporate expectations.

Education and/or Experience:

• Relative experience and proof thereof, Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Web Design or Computer Information Systems experience preferred or in process of completion.
• One to three years' experience in a corporate environment or customer service experience.
• One to three years' experience in web development
