BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated WEB DEVELOPER ( React.Js) for a REMOTE opportunity!

Position Title: WEB DEVELOPER (React.Js)

Location: REMOTE
Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.

Expected Duration: 6+ Months with potential to long term

Job Type: CONTRACT (=40 HRS WEEKLY)/ [CONTRACT], [REMOTE]
Pay Range: [$80/hr]-[$85/hr]

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Description:

The detailed job descriptions are as follows: (US Citizen Only - No Dual citizenship)
An experienced and well-rounded web developer with deep knowledge and proficiency with React.js

Job Responsibilities
* Enhancing a full stack web application to meet business requirements and incorporate stakeholder feedback
* Translating UI/UX designs into reusable and performant UI components
* Identifying opportunities to improve performance and maintainability
* Improving development processes, methodologies, and automation
* Participating in code reviews to maintain code quality and maintainability
* Participating in agile backlog refinement and planning

Must have:
* Experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript
* Experience with React & TypeScript
* Experience with React frameworks like Remix & Next.js
* Mastery of key React concepts like hooks, context, refs, state
* Experience implementing complex and detailed UI designs using CSS
* Experience with Python
* Experience writing automated unit tests
* Experience with DevOps, especially CI/CD and automated build/deployment pipelines
* Experience with Linux, bash, YAML
* Experience with container orchestration and deployment
* Experience with relational databases
* Experience with data mapping between systems & data integration patterns

Nice to have:
* Experience with the Django Python framework, specifically ORM & REST
* Experience with Jira & Confluence
* Experience with Vagrant virtual machines
* Experience with GitOps tools
* AWS experience and certification
* Experience with UI/UX tools like Figma or Adobe XD
