Job Description Summary

Swing Shift (Tue-Sat)

This position works in conjunction with the Team Leader Warehouse and forklift operators to monitor the loading, staging, and procuring of customer orders relating to truck and rail order fulfilment. This position is responsible for creating a workflow for each order and ensuring accuracy of the product pulled and/or received.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides operational support within a public freezer warehouse environment.
  • Assign inbound/outbound tasks to ensure loads are processed timely in appropriate order.
  • Assign product staging locations on the docks for outbound shipping.
  • Assign door locations for inbound/outbound trucks.
  • Assign empty trailers to be returned to Production Facilities.
  • Verify accurate product placement during receiving process with the use of an Inbound Receiving Note.
  • Report sanitation deficiencies to the Supervisor.
  • Work with multiple departments to support business and customer needs.
  • May operate as a Back Up Team Leader Warehouse as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years' experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • 2-3 years' leadership experience (preferred in a warehouse environment)
  • Experience in warehouse skills and jobs such as loading Rail, utilizing Push pull, and Stacking) is considered preferred qualification
  • Experience building, leading, coaching, and mentoring teams
  • Ability to operate Forklifts, Push-Pulls and other related equipment
  • Proficient with Warehouse Management System
  • Excellent communication (verbal and electronic), interpersonal, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent PC skills to include Windows, Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), and timekeeping systems
  • Ability to compute various math functions as it relates to production/inventory (i.e. proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating procedures, other instructions and manuals.
  • Ability to work different shifts

A reasonable hourly estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $29.87
