The position of Virtual Design Construction (VDC) Manager is to work with a team and provide an environment that fosters trust and open collaboration, vision, future goals and accountabilities. As a Virtual Design Construction (VDC) Manager, you will oversee and manage team and the integration of virtual design and construction technologies into our projects. You will be responsible for leveraging Building Information Modeling (BIM), 3D modeling, 2D and other digital tools to enhance project planning, coordination, and execution. Your role will ensure that your department and all virtual design efforts align with project goals, timelines, and budgets, and contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the construction projects and company.

2D and 3D BIM Modeling:

• Model 3D elements from start to finish for electrical work on construction projects within specified schedule.
• Coordinate drawings with needs of project working with field supervisor a
  Finish drawings per established project schedule
  Provide technical guidance and recommendations to less skilled VDC Team members as a back up to VDC Supervisor
  Continue to advance your personal skills while providing support for productive outputs in Revit
  Assist team with strategies and advancements in client relations and best in class outputs
  Continue to research new and evolving software and workflows and implement.
  Attend project meetings and coordination meetings as needed to insure measurables are being met
  Management:
• Provide personnel development plans, monitoring, coaching, feedback, & growth opportunities to your direct reports.Ensure that you are developing at least one candidate to back up your position.Assess own development needs and plan with your supervisor for incorporation into your development plan.
• Assist or lead in interviewing & hiring prospective employees.Manage employee job performance.Complete performance appraisals timely.Counsel, discipline, and terminate as necessary and in accordance with company policies.
• Participation in employee continuing education in house or through outside programs. Achieve the minimum required hours per level
• Distribute VDC Team tasks and workload appropriately with collaboration from team supervisors and staff
• Collaborate with other Construction Services and Preconstruction teams
• Team engagement is important and provide an environment to foster this. Engagement score goals above company average is measurable.
