JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the EVP, Chief Human Resources Officer, the Vice President of People Solutions provides strategic leadership and oversight for Human Resources (HR) functions. This role ensures the delivery of integrated, efficient, and customer-focused human capital management solutions that position AgFirst Farm Credit Bank and its partner organizations for success. The Vice President is accountable for developing and enhancing HR strategies, processes, and systems while fostering continuous improvement within the HR service delivery model. This position is a key partner in aligning HR capabilities with organizational goals and priorities.

What You'll Do:

  • HR Strategy Development
Lead HR planning activities, including strategic and operational planning, progress monitoring, and project workplan development.
  • Service Delivery Model Improvement
Oversee the ongoing assessment and enhancement of HR service delivery capabilities, addressing capacity development needs and implementing effective solutions.
  • HR Strategic Partnering
Guide consultative support to business leaders and HR partners, fostering innovative HR solutions that align with organizational goals and maximize talent engagement and efficiency.
  • Integrated Talent Management
Supervise talent acquisition and development functions, ensuring high-caliber workforce acquisition, professional development, and management support.
  • Process and System Evaluation
Implement systems for assessing and improving HR processes, such as performance metrics, customer satisfaction surveys, and focus groups.
  • Governance and Change Management
Manage HR governance structures and lead change management strategies to build HR leadership and staff capabilities in navigating and sustaining change.
  • Project Management
Oversee small- and large-scale projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, deliverables, and quality standards while promoting collaboration across teams.

What You'll Need
  • Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience, including 5+ years in executive-level HR roles.
  • Proven success in HR services with large, complex organizations.
  • Expertise in HR systems transformation, strategic planning, process improvement, and governance.
  • Strong HR functional knowledge, including strategic HR planning, talent management, and service delivery.
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
  • Effective project and program management skills.
  • Proficiency in managing organizational change with a focus on stability and productivity.
Nice to Haves
  • Advanced certifications in HR or related disciplines.
  • Experience working in agriculture or financial services sectors.
  • Familiarity with HR technologies and analytics tools to drive data-informed decision-making.
