Title: Testing Technician II, Southeast Campus
POSITION SUMMARY
Provides proctor services for exams and interprets placement test results. Upholds proctoring standards and rules for all tests conducted.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/ JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Completes annual proctor certification exams. Proctors online and conventional pen/paper tests. Interprets and implements vendor test protocols for students. Maintains surveillance of testing labs to ensure there are no violations of student guidelines. Coordinates with the Access Center accommodated testing space and proctor availability. Facilitates approved student accommodations in the Testing Center. Verifies accommodated student appointment in the AIM system. Builds appointment in Register Blast system.
Updates and maintains an appropriate manual of test procedure guidelines and passwords. Interprets placement test results for individuals and appropriate departments. Maintains security and accountability of tests. Processes, documents and reports testing irregularities and incidents to supervisors. Communicates necessary testing guidelines and information to examinees. Serves as a liaison between the Online Learning Office and the Testing Center. Collects, coordinates, and distributes web test materials to the main campus and to all College Testing Centers. Prepares detailed correspondence regarding proctoring requirements for various programs and vendors.
Provides focused customer service to students, faculty, administration and the public. Enters Accuplacer scores into the College's Banner system. Assists with training of new employees to the department. May act in a supervisory capacity in the absence of the Assistant Director. Travels to other locations to proctor exams as needed. Oversees specific clerical duties. Complies College and Tennessee Board of Regents' policies and guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree
Two years of related experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience proctoring academic tests
Prior experience working in a higher education environment
Customer service experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of and ability to adhere to the mission, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of the Testing Center. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse population of faculty, staff, students and public. Ability to evaluate situations, make decisions and work effectively as a team member. Ability to support and accept supervision. Strong computer skills, including Banner and Microsoft Office. Ability and willingness to work a varied scheduled, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Rate of Pay: $33,813.00 to $40,579.40 annually, depending on experience
