The Department of Educational and Psychological Studies in the School of Education and Human Development at the University of Miami is seeking outstanding research-active candidates for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in our APA-accredited Counseling Psychology program. We invite applications from scholars with a strong commitment to research, teaching, service, and whose work has potential to make significant contributions to the field of Counseling Psychology. The successful applicant will have earned a Ph.D. in an APA-accredited program in Counseling Psychology. Doctoral students who are ABD at the time of application, and who would have completed their degree by August, 2025, are strongly encouraged to apply.
We welcome applicants who have demonstrated a commitment to high-quality research consistent with rank. Candidates must have strong potential to engage (Assistant) or be actively engaged (Associate) in grant-funded research and demonstrate the ability to establish and sustain a rigorous research program. We are especially interested in candidates whose research, teaching, and service are grounded in an appreciation of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and who will maintain the high standards of excellence of the program.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses and advising students across our doctoral, master's, and undergraduate programs, advising Ph.D. and Ed.D. dissertations, and providing service to the Program, Department, and University.
