Team Lead, Clinical Curriculum- PATH

Located Statewide in Illinois

Job Summary
Serve as the subject matter expert on all curriculum development initiatives, ensuring implementation of best clinical practices and application of appropriate accessibility standards to all synchronous and asynchronous course development. Responsible for developing mock training, Training of Trainers and assisting PATH leadership in making appropriate revisions to curriculum and identifying areas of improvement in facilitation of curriculum by PATH Specialist teams. Serve to help monitor progress of curriculum development and aid in prioritizing development based on funder and project deliverables.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver both web-based training, including questions and answers, and on-site trainings statewide for:
    • Participate in the development and progress monitoring of all clinical curriculum development across PATH initiatives.
    • Ensuring consistency of clinical curriculum content including but not limited to TCOM and System of Care Principles.
    • Development and implementation of training of newly launched Medicaid services to support providers in successful development, implementation and analysis.
  • Using various coaching and transfer of learning methodologies, the team lead will engage in person and by webinar with Medicaid enrolled providers to:
    • To assess agency specific challenges and build strategies for effective and accurate implementation of the program.
    • Work with the Clinical Quality team to aid in standardization of curriculum development and coaching /training supports for all providers.
    • Develop training, including on-site trainings and web-based trainings.
    • Provide feedback to PATH leadership as to curriculum development status and recommendations for most effective design and deployment of curriculum and coaching products to support provider based initiatives.
    • Will complete task assignment, monitoring and lead workgroup teams conducting new curriculum development and implementation as needed.
    • Participates in and leads curriculum development across PATH teams to support Coordinators in development and implementation of deliverables.
  • Provides Leadership, mentorship, and oversight as Team Lead to specialist staff.
    • Team Lead will perform observations and complete evaluation documentation of specialist staff during Mock practice sessions and during quarterly reviews as needed.
    • Will schedule, track attendance, and lead mock sessions to conduct staff practice of curriculum content.
  • Will attend interviews, provide feedback, and evaluation of potential candidates for hire within the specialist position.
    • Will demonstrate flexibility in scheduling as well as ability to prioritize based on program needs and changes.
    • Facilitates collaboration and communication with (department) Coordinator:
  • Assists with professional development of staff and collaborates with CQR team and PATH leadership to create professional development content and materials.
  • Collaborates with other PATH team members on various projects as needed.
  • Reports any staff concerns or content changes that need to be made to ensure quality and accuracy of curriculum content information.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.
    • Some analysis of training effectiveness may be required.
    • This training will be based in Systems of Care (SOC) principles.
    • Travel may be necessary several days per week in order to effectuate trainings.
Travel Requirements
Statewide travel required.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in social work or related field from an accredited college or university. IM+CANS trainer level certification within 90 days of hire. SOC trainer certification within 120 days of hiring. Illinois clinical licensure. LPHA status pursuant to 89 ILAC 140.453. 1-3 years of Behavioral Health Services (Clinical) experience and one (1) year of IM+CANS training experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with CSPI, CANS, ANSA, FAST or TCOM is strongly preferred, experience training preferred. Experience using PowerPoint, Vyond, Visio, Slido to create synchronous and asynchronous courses.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Qualified applicants must be self-motivated and able to work semi-independently to train peers in assessment and care planning.
  • Qualified applicants must possess a working knowledge of change management strategies, established training, coaching and transfer of learning methodologies, case study and clinical case presentation methodologies, established evidence-informed child behavioral health practices and clinical interventions, the impact of trauma on the child and family system, child and adolescent development, issues related to diagnosis and co-morbidity, and other behavioral health issues.
Appointment Information

This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the search posting closes . The budgeted salary range for the position is $77,000-$82,000. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity. Hybrid work options may be available for this position with the ability to be on-site as needed per the University's Workplace Flexibility policy. Sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position.
