Systems Project Manager (Remote)
Location: Remote
We are seeking an experienced Systems Project Manager to oversee and guide technology deliverables. The Project Manager ensures the project teams, made up of both IT and business, are following the appropriate methodology for the specific project while also managing ambiguous project situations across the IT and business structure. This role will also have to work with dependent teams that function in Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid development methodologies to complete a full Software delivery lifecycle. Servant leadership is essential to mentor, motivate, and drive the team to drive empowered decisions and effective deliverables.
Role Responsibilities and Functional skills:
- Lead project teams on complex, multi- functional projects, often with international teams, and handle more than one significant project at a time.
- Lead both the planning and execution phases of projects, including overseeing the work to collect requirements, build estimates, build and gain approval for the business case.
- Manage project budget, issues, risks, and action items.
- Monitor progress and performance while helping the team to make improvements
- Bring a data-driven approach to decision making, both in day-to-day activities and when helping others make strategic trade-offs.
- Manage (plan and track) the project scope, resources, and quality within budget and schedule to meet objectives.
- Prepare project status material and capable of presenting to executive leaders.
- Provide spirited, positive leadership with flexibility and adaptability. Challenge obsolete practices; question accepted truths.
- Be Value aligned and develop practical systems scope that enhances the business function.
- Direct, schedule, motivate, coordinate, and evaluate the efforts of IT, business and vendor personnel assigned to a specific systems project.
- Prepare and conduct project review meetings and management presentations including general solution and design reviews, project scheduling, testing and cutover events.
- Lead or act as a key contributor to Change Management, Performance Management and Release Management processes.
- Facilitate the translation of business needs into technical solutions using judgment to suggest approaches that optimize among customer needs, business constraints, and technological realities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the PMO and Delivery organization.
- Support and promote best practice within the PMO center of excellence.
Skills/RequirementsEducation and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, or related discipline, preferred but not essential
- Experience in a manufacturing organization would be beneficial
- A good balance of technical knowledge and leadership skills
- 8+ Years Professional Experience
- 3+ years as a Project Manager in IT related areas
- Experience of SAP or other ERP systems would be beneficial
- Project Management certification a plus, but not required. Emphasis is on the demonstrated use of PMI, PMP, Prince 2, Agile, and/or other project or IT delivery methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

The salary range for this position is $117000 - $149500. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
