Judge Healthcare is currently seeking Surgical Technologist in Schenectady, NY!
Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours/week, 10-hour shifts, rotating schedule
Basic Function:
Under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, the Surgical Technologist II is a crucial member of the surgical team, ensuring the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures. Key responsibilities include preparing and maintaining the sterile field, passing instruments, and assisting the surgeon within the scope of practice. The technologist collaborates with the perioperative team to utilize resources cost-effectively in an environment that promotes continuous quality improvement.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or licensed as a Practical Nurse in New York State
- Nationally accredited certification or eligibility for certification for graduates of accredited surgical technology programs
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
- Advanced knowledge and proficient practice in the first scrub role for a majority of surgical procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on collaborative team behaviors
