Position Overview:
This position supports the long-term corporate strategy and planning, tracks industry trends, assists in evaluating internal and external market opportunities, and supports Enterprise Leadership in aligning resources to deliver on those strategies. The incumbent aids in identifying, analyzing and prioritizing opportunities and challenges for the organization while assisting in the creation of strategy options, business cases and change leadership for long-term strategies.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists Senior Strategy Leadership with organization-wide project prioritization through existing cross-functional "Operating System"; organizes, participates and carefully documents decision points regarding strategic investments of time and resources based on broader knowledge of business needs.
  • Assists the organization in operational planning on new and strategic projects that will drive business efficiencies and growth.
  • Leverages a broader organization exposure to identify new project opportunities based on understood needs in the business and collaborates with business functions and leader to execute specific projects and initiatives.
  • Develops relationships with internal and external stakeholders to fully understand their needs, resource constraints, and options for executing projects on time; works closely with Senior Strategy Leadership to ensure appropriate feedback loop with Executive Leaders in terms of potential project risks and headwinds and refine resource needs and priorities as needed.
  • Assists in defining success metrics for identified strategic initiatives and tracks progress against desired outcomes of a strategic investment (business case).
  • Supports potential business solutions that include cost analysis, timelines and resource needs/level of effort

Minimum Qualifications & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, human centered or product design or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in strategic planning, program or portfolio management, innovation, business planning, process transformations, product development or marketing services, preferably within the financial services, agriculture, or related sectors.
  • Solid strategic thinking skills, with the ability to align creative initiatives with broader business objectives and emerging market trends.
  • Solid skill in developing new business models, defining long-term corporate strategy and supporting strategy execution.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing cross-business teams or project groups in a highly adaptive environment.
  • Solid understanding of contemporary practice tools for strategy development.
  • Strategic and innovative.
  • Solid strategic thinking skills, with the ability to align creative initiatives with broader business objectives and emerging market trends.
  • Proven experience in collaborating and working cross-functionally to foster creativity, inclusivity, and strategic thinking
  • Familiarity with the agricultural lending industry, agribusiness, or related fields. An understanding of the challenges and opportunities within these sectors is a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to collaborate closely with senior and executive leaders.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results amidst change.
  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Skill in developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Advanced problem solving, decision making and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications and customer relationship management (CRM) programs.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
  • Ability to remain objective in balancing business needs and risk.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals and represent the business.
  • Valid driver's license.
