SUMMARY

The STEM and Research Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) programs and research initiatives within an organization. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to promote STEM education, coordinating research projects, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the success of STEM and research initiatives in support of USAARL in Ft. Rucker, AL.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Coordinates and oversees all STEM-related activities, such as workshops, competitions, and events, to engage students and promote interest in STEM fields.

Collaborates with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to integrate STEM concepts into the curriculum and provide professional development opportunities for educators.

Identifies and establishes partnerships with external organizations, universities, and industry professionals to enhance STEM education and research opportunities.

Coordinates research projects and initiatives, including identifying research topics, securing funding, and managing project timelines and deliverables.

Provides guidance and support to students and researchers involved in STEM-related projects, including mentoring, troubleshooting, and facilitating collaboration.

Develops and maintains relationships with local, regional, and national STEM networks and organizations to stay connected with the broader STEM community.

Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of STEM programs and research initiatives, and provide regular reports to management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
