RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Washington, DC that is seeking a Staff/Senior Tax Accountant.Responsibilities:- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
- Conduct tax research and stay current on tax laws and regulations
- Assist in tax planning and advisory services for clients
- Identify and communicate tax planning opportunities to clients
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of tax engagements
- Maintain organized and detailed work papers and documentation
- Provide support during tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities
- Mentor and train junior staff members as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- CPA license required
- 1-3 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
