Meet the team:
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing our global EHSS team and providing support to the EHSS site teams for Workers Compensation in the US. Where you come in:
- You will manage the United States Workers' Compensation process, which includes site based and remote employees.
- You will create and monitor KPIs related to Workers' Compensation to reduce lost workdays and restricted workdays.
- You will create working relationships with Occupational Health Clinics/ physicians, nurse case management to convey the risks and mechanisms for injury on site, permanent and temporary work accommodations and medication management.
- You will analyze trends with Global EHSS and work with site EHSS to implement strategies for injury reduction.
- You will implement processes and best practices and partner with Global and site EHSS to continuously improve on Dexcom's Experience Modification Rating (EMR) and reduce Workers Compensation costs.
- You will manage and track the progress of individual cases from creation to closure in the Safety Tracking and Reporting System STARS. Tasks include answering employee questions, partnering with site EHSS on initial investigation, filing claims with insurance carrier, having interactive conversations with employees/ HR/ managers to ensure employees can be accommodated, partnering with HR on leave and permanent and temporary work accommodation process, partnering with Workers' Compensation claim administrators, providing appointment authorization, follow-up and scheduling.
- You will create and provide training to Dexcom employees on Workers' Compensation process.
- You will manage the relationship between Dexcom and Workers' Compensation insurance carrier to ensure customer service, which includes claim status reviews.
- You will manage all required Medical Screenings required for Occupational Safety and Health including user lists, appointments and follow up, including Hepatitis B, respirator medical evaluations, audiometric testing, etc., which includes gap assessments and periodic reviews.
What makes you successful:
- Previous experience managing workers compensation claims and employee accommodations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite, and other relevant software solutions.
- Strong customer focus, a reliable work ethic, and unwavering integrity.
- Excellent communication, investigation skills and documentation practices to convey information effectively and have crucial conversations at all levels in the organization.
- Self-directed and motivated approach to tasks and responsibilities.
- Previous experience in Occupational Health nursing, Environmental Health and Safety, or equivalent certifications is a nice to have.

Travel Required:Experience and Education Requirements: - Typically requires a Bachelors degree with 8-12 years of related industry experience.
