We are looking for a talented Staff Accountant with experience in agriculture and e-commerce to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who can effectively manage the unique accounting needs of a hybrid industry setting.

Position Summary: The Staff Accountant will support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, handling daily accounting tasks, and ensuring compliance across both our agriculture operations and e-commerce channels. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting, experience in the agriculture industry, and a solid understanding of e-commerce financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily accounting functions, including journal entries, general ledger management, and account reconciliations for both agriculture and e-commerce operations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
• Reconcile and analyze inventory accounts and cost of goods sold (COGS) related to agriculture and e-commerce.
• Prepare and review sales tax reports and ensure compliance with multi-state tax regulations.
• Collaborate with the e-commerce team to maintain and improve financial processes related to online sales, payment gateways, and revenue recognition.
• Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
• Conduct regular variance analysis for revenue, expenses, and inventory to help guide strategic business decisions.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for agriculture and e-commerce divisions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, with exposure to the agriculture industry and e-commerce preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and relevant industry accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (experience with [specific software, if applicable]) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with inventory management and cost accounting for agriculture and e-commerce.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the agriculture industry preferred
• Knowledge of ERP systems or e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon, NetSuite)
