SUMMARY

A growing renewable energy client of ours is looking to hire an experienced Sr. Accountant to their team. This is a great opportunity for growth and to work for a fast paced organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively engaged in day-to-day accounting transactions and entries.Complete monthly accounting close, including journal entry preparation and balance sheet reconciliations.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper costing and inventory management.Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations.Assist with the preparation of Forms 10-Q and 10-K.Maintain and update fixed assets records and depreciation schedules.Provide monthly reporting of capital projects to stakeholders.Consistently adhere to and document internal control policies and procedures.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary financial data, footnotes, and supporting documentation for reporting purposes.Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards, participate in technical accounting research, and support the external audit process.Ensure compliance with state and local taxes and filings.This is not necessarily an all-inclusive list of job-related responsibilities, duties, skills, efforts, requirements or working conditions. QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting4 + experience in GL accounting, month-end close, and reportingExperience using Netsuite is a mustAbility to apply experience and critical thinking to solve finance and accounting-related issues.Highly organizedExcellent at time management and multitaskingProficiency with Microsoft Office, especially ExcelAbility to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
