Description: Our client is currently seeking a Sr. Project Manager, Clinical


Project Overview:

This position requires extensive knowledge, skills and abilities in project management, complex healthcare business operations activities and organizational collaboration among various functional areas. To be effective the candidate must possess strong critical thinking and analytical skills, highly effective written, presentation and oral communications skills, an independent, and a consultative approach to building business relationships. Successful candidates must demonstrate a hands-on project management style, capable of engaging in executive level and department level discussions through the organization, creation, and management of project plans, accountable for milestones and overall communications to stakeholders.

Must-Haves for the Role:

Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of IT Project Management experience.
  • Clinical project management experience is required.
  • Project management background in a hospital or health system IT environment.
  • Proven experience managing business-critical strategic projects from conception to implementation and closure.
  • Demonstrated experience with multiple projects involving business process documentation and redesign across multiple functional areas.

Domain Expertise:
  • Experience implementing Business and Practice Management systems, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems in physician offices or hospitals.
  • Familiarity with imaging (radiology/cardiology) systems is preferred.

Technical and Business Skills:
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, including Capital vs. Operating expenses.
  • Ability to manage RAID logs and escalate issues to agreeable resolutions for stakeholders.
  • Expertise in creating and presenting executive-level communications and materials.

Project Management Skills:
  • Ability to translate strategies and policies into actionable goals, tactics, and deliverables.
  • Proficient in applying project management best practices and EMPO standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and within-scope project delivery.

Leadership and Collaboration:
  • Proven leadership in facilitating collaboration between project sponsors, team members, and business/clinical stakeholders.
  • Capacity to lead operational readiness, including transition plans, standard operating procedures, and addressing productivity impacts due to transformations.

Communication and Change Management:
  • Ability to develop and execute enterprise-level communication plans.
  • Proactively manage and address change management processes.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP, Six Sigma, or Agile certifications/training.
  • Experience with imaging systems is a strong advantage.

Remote and Independent Work:
  • Ability to execute effectively in a remote workforce environment.
  • Proven success in building relationships and achieving outcomes in virtual settings.

Skills Summary:

• Must be able to work independently and demonstrate leadership in various situations

• Translate strategies/policies into specific goals, tactics, action plans and deliverables

• Deliver on strategic alignment of this project to achieve overarching business objectives for the enterprise

• Facilitates collaboration between project sponsor, project team members, business, and clinical stakeholders

• Responsible for driving project day-to-day operation activities along with project status reporting

• Project management experience with business-critical strategic projects from the conceptual phase through solution implementation and project close

• Apply PM best practices and rigor across all project deliverables and with the business units while promoting the EMPO standards for project management.

• Provide leadership in the requirements gathering process (both business requirements and technical requirements)

• Facilitate the technical design and build process with multiple partners, while ensuring business outcomes of the project are met

• Ensure proper testing and acceptance of any solution with internal, business, and/or clinical partners, as appropriate

• Proactively identify, manage, and address change management

• Lead the business in Operational Readiness, including transition plans, productivity dips due to transformations, standard operating procedures, workarounds, downtime procedures, etc.

• Develop and execute enterprise level communication plans
