Position Summary

The SQL Developer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database solutions to facilitate efficient data management within the organization. They will utilize their expertise in SQL programming, database optimization, and data modeling to collaborate with cross-functional teams, developing robust and scalable database systems. This position reports to the assigned DBA Manager.

This is a direct hire position that will pay between $115,000 and $135,000 and will be 4 days on site 1 days remote in Mendota Heights, MN.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of proven experience as a SQL Developer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL programming and database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Strong understanding of database design principles, data normalization, and indexing.
  • Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with data modeling tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of data security, privacy, and compliance considerations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement SQL-based database solutions, ensuring optimal performance, data integrity, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with software developers to integrate database functionality seamlessly into applications.
  • Analyze and optimize complex SQL queries to enhance database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
  • Utilize expertise in data modeling to create logical and physical database designs that align with business requirements, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices.
  • Facilitate seamless data migration and integration processes, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
  • Implement and maintain database security measures to safeguard sensitive information, ensuring compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for database structures, processes, and configurations, keeping documentation up-to-date.
  • Diagnose and resolve database-related issues promptly, providing support and guidance to end-users.

  • Most regular work will be in an office setting.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate via phone, email, and other non-personal manners.
  • Effectively troubleshoot and problem solve.
