Job Description
Conducts general and vascular ultrasound, examinations to locate, evaluate, and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data. Reviews results for quality and completeness, refers to physician for evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.

Located in Largo in the heart of Prince George's County, our new state-of-the-art regional medical center (UM Capital Region Medical Center) will provide improved access to primary and ambulatory care services, and serve as a tertiary care center for critically ill patients. Qualifications
Licensure/Certification/Registration
  • Required: RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist)
  • Basic Life Support - Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
Education/Knowledge
  • Completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Preferred Associates Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Applicable Experience
  • Required: 1 year
  • Preferred: 3 or more years
  • Preferred: One year performing general and vascular exams.
Technical/Clinical Skills
Word: Basic Excel: Basic
Working knowledge of ICD-9 (Medical Coding)
Basic knowledge and working experience with Medical Terminology
