Job Description:
As a member of the Regional Applications Agile Release Train (ART) of the Missile Defense National Team for Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC), you will play a crucial role in software design and peer reviews, developing test specifications and infrastructure, executing manual and automated tests, and analyzing C2BMC implementations. Your work will support operations such as internal messaging, control and monitoring, message and display recording and playback, and failover processing. Additionally, you will coordinate lab resources, test results, and verification status with the C2BMC program and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in software design and peer reviews.
- Develop test specifications and infrastructure.
- Execute manual and automated tests.
- Analyze C2BMC implementations in integrated environments or specific capabilities.
- Coordinate lab resources, test results, and verification status with the C2BMC program and customers.
- Experience in testing and evaluating software-intensive systems in various test environments/venues, utilizing Agile development.
- Strong, self-starting individual capable of problem-solving with assistance from other test engineers and software developers.
- Experience with DoD test methodologies, functional capability-related test/analysis planning and execution, test data collection, and test data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to characterize system, software, or component performance using quantitative methods and report findings to subsequent users.
- Experience may come from independent efforts or participation within test teams.
- Experience with Agile development processes.
- Automated testing for requirement verification and performance assessment.
- Conducting post-processing and analysis of collected data.
- Developing action plans based on data analysis.
- Documenting software deficiency reports.
- Presenting analysis results and action plans orally and in written formats (e.g., slides, test reports).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively in a small technical team environment.
- Ability to accurately represent test perspectives to C2BMC systems engineers, architects, software designers, other testers, test support personnel, the Government customer, and personnel in other MDA programs.
- Experience in a DevSecOps environment is highly desirable.
- Security+ certification is highly desirable.
- Technical Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, or Computer Science, or significant professional experience.
- Master's degree is highly desired.
