Sharepoint Web Designer
Duration - 3 Months
Location - Newport Beach, CA
Pay - $40 - $42.95 an hr
Responsible for creating and customizing the visual design of SharePoint websites, utilizing the platform's features to build user-friendly interfaces that align with business needs, including layout, branding, and functionality, often requiring proficiency in SharePoint Designer and an understanding of web development principles to implement these designs effectively.
Duties:
* Designing site layouts: Creating visually appealing and intuitive layouts for SharePoint pages, considering user experience and navigation flow.
* Branding implementation: Integrating company branding elements like logos, color schemes, and fonts into SharePoint sites.
* Customizing web parts: Developing and configuring custom web parts to enhance functionality and display specific data within SharePoint pages.
* Workflow design: Implementing SharePoint workflows to automate business processes and streamline data management.
* Content management: Structuring content libraries and managing site content to ensure organization and accessibility. Migrating content from MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word to web pages.
* User interface design: Creating user-friendly forms, lists, and views tailored to specific user needs.
* Collaborating with stakeholders: Working with business users and teams to gather requirements, understand business objectives, and translate them into SharePoint designs.
* Testing and quality assurance: Thoroughly testing designed pages to ensure functionality, compatibility, and responsiveness across devices.
* Graphics Design and SharePoint Calendar expertise a plus.
Skills:
* Expertise in using SharePoint Designer to manipulate page layouts, add web parts, and customize site features.
* Understanding of web design principles like color theory, typography, and layout.
* Familiarity with HTML and CSS to fine-tune the visual appearance of SharePoint pages.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for content creation and presentation.
* Ability to clearly communicate design concepts to stakeholders and gather feedback effectively.
* Identifying and resolving design issues that may arise during development.
* Graphics Design and SharePoint Calendar expertise a plus.
