Position Summary
The Repair Coordinator's primary function is to manage incoming IV infusion pump repair orders, clean the pumps as required, enter the required information into the Oracle EBS system, and deliver the pumps to the service floor. They will support additional non-repair activities on the repair floor, including battery recharging and working with the warehouse to ensure inventory is available to support repair activities. The position will also be responsible for cross-training employees on all aspects of the receiving and decontamination process to ensure resource availability to support large orders or manage other contingencies.
The Repair Coordinator is responsible for reviewing incoming service orders to ensure the required information is present and following up with the Technical Service Center or Global Complaints Management to obtain any missing critical information. They will clean and decontaminate the infusion pumps, tag the pumps with the correct status, and deliver them to the correct location on the floor to allow the service technicians to conduct repairs. They will be communicate with Repair Technicians as required to clarify repair requirements for the service orders.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Will be required to closely and accurately follow written procedures, and need to exhibit a close attention to detail
• Become familiar with using the Oracle EBS system as part of the pump receiving process
• Clean pumps coming directly from customer locations using bleach and isopropyl alcohol solutions
• Performs other non-repair activities, such as battery recharging and assisting with floor inventory management
• Will report any observed or informed process and/or product non-conformities to the Supervisor/Manager
• Finds resolution of Quality Situations at the area of responsibility
• Complies with all the requirements in the operational procedures at the area of responsibility in order to meet the requirements of all applicable Quality System Regulations (i.e. cGMP compliance)
• May perform training new hires on cleaning and receiving repair pumps
• Clean the assigned work area on daily basis to maintain clean work environment
• May travel to support field or other site activities
• Work on special projects as they arise
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years industry experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment
• Strong cGMP, process and product knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer and data entry skills
Education and Experience
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
Minimum Qualifications
• Must be at least 18 years of age
Travel Requirements
• Typically requires travel less than 25% of the time
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
• Job duties are performed in a service repair hub environment
• Must have high level of hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to work with electro-mechanical medical devices
• Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs
