This position supports our Corporate line of business and is based in Birmingham AL. Initially, this position will report to an office 3-4 days per week, and will have more hybrid work arrangement flexibility after training is completed.
For full consideration candidates should have 3 years tax and accounting experience. For candidates with less experience, we may consider filling the position at a lower level.
We support our team members in their pursuit/maintenance of their CPA.
The Senior Tax Accountant I will primarily be responsible for managing the preparation of various types of tax returns prepared by tax accountants and the external tax service provider, performing tax research as needed, and assisting in the preparation of quarterly income tax provisions. The position demonstrates an understanding of GAAP and SAP accounting for income taxes and the related impact to the financial statements.
