This is a hybrid position primarily based in any of the above listed US office locations. A role you will love

The Senior Software Engineer will perform business objects report development, provide technical guidance and consultation with application teams, Clients, and Engineering managers. This role will also need to support the business lines with their demand and is part of a cross-functional Agile delivery team which creates customer-oriented solutions aligned to the overall Computershare and Technology strategy and values.

Other Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide senior level support to the software development life cycle, technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support for the Resiliency Solutions portfolio.
  • Provide informal guidance and share knowledge with colleagues to enable them to contribute to the team's objectives.
  • Support the evaluation and resolution of technical challenges and blockers to minimise their impact on the team's delivery and/or supported products.
  • Identify and support improvements and innovation in technologies/practices within your team that would benefit the business e.g. efficiency in the software development process or improved customer experience.

What will you bring to the role?
  • Strong working experience of database development with Relationship Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as Oracle, SQL Server
  • Skilled in Business Objects and at least 5+ years using Business Objects Enterprise 4.0 or higher
  • Able to develop universes using Universe Designer and Information Designer tools
  • Experience with Business Objects Webi Reporting
  • Experience with Business Objects security management
  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
  • Experience in Business Objects administration is preferred
  • Experience in Power BI or DataStage is preferred
  • Collaborates and communicates well, builds great working relationships, influences others, challenges effectively and responds well to challenge from others, shares information and ideas with others, has good listening skills.
  • Pays attention to detail, finds root cause and takes a rigorous approach to problem solving.
