    A DAY IN THE LIFE

    As a key member of the team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
    • Act as a process engineer to guide the operation of a state-of-the-art distillation system
    • Available to provide on-site technical support as required (problems solving, technology deployment activities, improvement study, turnarounds, energy optimization, etc.) associated with distillation process.
    • Provide full scale distillation process treatment expertise and troubleshooting;
    • Conduct field inspection, design and operations support, optimization, and unit monitoring associated with Distillation processes.
    • Monitor and adjust distillation processes or equipment for quality and productivity, following current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
    • Make necessary operating adjustments via instrumentation, equipment, or chemical additions to maintain product specifications.
    • Operate pumps, valves, instruments to adjust fluid levels, flows, temperatures, pressures, and starting/stopping of mechanical equipment.
    • Perform data review and make process decisions based on trends and system optimization goals.
    • Interface with ECT2 customers and partners, acting as a front-line sales representative through effective full-scale system operations
    • Manage and maintain daily operations logs, inventory, site consumables and vendor service contracts
    • Be the bridge between operations, product development and process engineering groups.
    • Advance ECT2 product lines as it pertains to setup, integration, and operation demands in the market;
    • Develop new ideas that lead to patented and innovative treatment advances;
    • Be an integral part of our safety culture, approaching all aspects of work with a safety-first attitude;
    • Support and participate in field start-ups and commissioning work;
    • Possess an advanced understanding of system hydraulics, mechanical operation / functionality and instrumentation / electrical control schemes;
    • Work closely with design engineers to capture lessons learned;
    • Travel as needed, domestically and internationally, to support project teams on the delivery of ECT2 products to its' customers. Estimated travel is 10%
    • May require longer work days and varied schedules.
    NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Controls engineering desired but not required;
    • 5-15 years of related work experience in the water treatment field
    • Experience with Distillation, combustion, burners, boilers and heat transfer equipment is desired
    • Working knowledge and practice with distillation technologies, heat exchangers, condensers, reboilers, reflux drums and burner unit operations. Technical expertise including process control, environmental control systems, and energy conservation optimization practices.
    • Operation of control panels and other distillation equipment, in order to monitor and adjust product flow, pressure, temperature, etc.
    • Manipulate distillation equipment controls to produce required volumes and required product quality. Take into account lab recommendations, schedules and test results.
    • Experience with column packing for distillation systems and refractory media for hot oil heater systems is desired.
    • Familiarity with safety practices and techniques relating to chemical/power/industrial manufacturing/production is desired.
    • Strong communication (verbal & written), ability to motivate, prioritize, and organize in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    • Positive & proactive attitude with the ability to address issues, follow up and implement solutions as required.
    • Experience with water treatment unit processes including ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, ion exchange is a plus
    • Experience with solvent storage and handling systems is a plus.
    • Good organizational skills, planning skills and self-starter with good work ethic and sense of urgency with the drive to improve, adapt and think on your feet;
    • Must be proficient in the following programs: MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD. Allen Bradley Suite or Siemens TIA Portal programing knowledge preferred but not required;
    • Must be comfortable with hand and power tool use;
    • Must possess a valid driver's license
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Professional Engineer Certification (PE)
    • OSHA Hazwoper 40 hour

Standby and on-call duty is required, and the individual must be able to respond to the facility within one hour. Some shifts will require working alone.
    • Must have the ability to lift 50-60 pounds using Company provided equipment.
