The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst supporting the Americas Equipment Processing Centers (EPC) within the Global Transportation team within Product Support & Logistics Division (PSLD). In this role, you will lead the financial planning and analysis for the Americas EPC. You will work closely with peers within the Americas EPC Operations team, communicate results to leadership within the Global Transportation team as well as customers of the EPCs, which includes multiple product groups.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead Americas Equipment Processing Centers (EPC) financial planning and analysis
  • Partner with the business to provide deeper strategic insights and solve challenges with a customer-oriented mindset
  • Influence our finance culture by demonstrating desired behaviors, including but not limited to continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with Americas EPC Operations as the business analyst, to understand their business and provide financial insights.
  • Analyze and understand financial impacts and communicate to cross-functional leadership to enable better decision making for accountable results and projects/business proposals.
What You Have:
  • Education : Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understand the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high level of precision.
  • Intellectual Curiosity / Courage: Initiative to dig into the details and understand the "why" while connecting those details to the bigger picture and challenging the status quo where necessary.
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; capacity to determine root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions to resolve those problems.
  • Effective Communication: Utilize effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Manage Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Decision Making: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; capable of accurately analyzing situations and reaching productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools for financial reporting; ability to apply finance knowledge appropriately to diverse situations as well as read, interpret, and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
  • Vision for Change: See opportunities for change and establish the big picture vision as well as drive thinking and planning towards a long-term strategic goal.
Top Candidates Will Have:
  • Inventory reporting/analysis experience
  • Mach 1 and/or SAP experience
  • Cost accounting experience

  • This position will be located in our Morton, IL office

Summary Pay Range:
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
