Senior Director of DevSecOps and SRE Growing Ecommerce health organization seeking Senior Director of DevSecOps to directly report to VP of Engineering! REMOTE

The Senior Director of DevSecOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) will report into the VP, Information Security and Technology Infrastructure. This role will be responsible for developing the SRE/SRO practice and managing the engineering team responsible for incident response, monitoring/alerting, DevSecOps, releases and associated process automation.
What You Will Be Doing Develop and implement SRE/SRO best practices and techniques including detecting, responding to, and restoring applications/services across business domains.
Develop, manage and drive the SRE strategic direction to enable engineering teams to ship and release reliably, securely and efficiently.
Design, build, configure, and maintain the frameworks, tools, and systems that enable delivery and performance of business applications, and ensure the availability, scalability and reliability of cloud infrastructure and the CI/CD platform.
Develop metrics-driven approach to ensure the stability and security of enterprise cloud services, establishing and maintaining KPIs for the overall health of the services by developing methodology around metric visibility using SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs.
Lead and focus teams on root cause analysis, pattern identification and continuous improvement in order to optimize application performance, resiliency and reliability.
What You Need for this Position 10 plus years experience in the industry
7 years of experience supporting infrastructure and services hosted in AWS.
5 years of experience delivering, deploying and managing enterprise applications in the cloud.
5 years coaching managers and senior technical talent.
3+ years developing continuous integration/delivery/deployment pipelines and cloud-centric CI/CD tools.
3+ years of experience implementing telemetry and observability intelligence and automated remediation.
3+ years as a leader implementing scalability, resiliency, performance and security.
3+ years establishing and maturing an SRE practice.

Comprehensive knowledge of AWS cloud services and monitoring technologies (certifications a plus).
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
Extensive knowledge of containerization technology such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
Strong knowledge of building CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, and observability tools such as like New Relic and Splunk Enterprise.
