ABOUT THE JOB

The Senior Applications Analyst is focused on leading, improving and supporting Clinical Technology applications, technical configuration, and projects from ideation, through implementation and ongoing support. Works with both internal and external customers to surface, document and deliver on clinical requirements, functional specifications, technical needs, training, support, and ongoing communication needs. Helps drive optimization, adoption, and continuous improvement of EHR and other clinical technologies, applications, and solutions. Supports the work of Clinical Technology teammates and other stakeholders in achieving the organization's objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Clinical Technology Applications Analyst role encompasses the following major job duty categories:

Clinical Requirements - Partners with providers, APPs, MAs, Operations, and other stakeholders to understand clinical technology capabilities and requirements that must be delivered to support preeminent patient care and quality outcomes.

Functional and Technical Specifications - Facilitates connecting clinical requirements with the IT organization to translate clinical needs into functional and technical IT specifications for solution development.

Workflow Design, Implementation, and Improvement - Leads efforts with clinicians and other stakeholders to design, document and implement improved workflows. Assesses the effectiveness of workflows on clinician satisfaction, efficiency, and alignment with achieving improved clinical outcomes.

Systems Configuration, Testing and Optimization - Leads configuration, build and testing of clinical technologies, upgrades, and new solutions.

Training and Support - Partners with Clinical Applications Training team to ensure effective training of clinical teammates. Provides Tier 2 systems support for clinicians. Supports training and go live support activities for new clinics as required.

Communications - Supports the organization by collaborating with other departments to ensure clinical stakeholders are well-informed regarding system enhancements, new development, upgrades, training opportunities and supporting materials.

Project Management - Leads, frames and documents project scope, deliverables, required resources, customer acceptance criteria, success measures, risks, and timelines. Leads project execution and delivery including managing project resources, timelines, scope, budget management, meeting facilitation and communications.

Security Awareness, Training and Education - Stays abreast of HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC and applicable federal and state laws and the security considerations relevant to the design, implementation, and utilization of clinical technologies.

Professional and Team Development - Stays abreast of vendor and industry technology developments. Attends training, conference, and other professional development opportunities. Provides training and mentorship to Clinical Technology teammates. Promotes and supports continuous learning. Ensures achievement of personal and team training, certification, and educational goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 8 years' experience with eClinicalWorks EHR and related clinical technologies, process improvement, training, and clinician support or equivalent combination of education and experience. Clinical licensure preferred. Understanding of HIPAA and other applicable federal and state laws

Pay Range: $90,000 - $115,000/yr

The actual offer may vary dependent upon geographic location and the candidate's years of experience and/or skill level.
