Position Summary:The Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) is among the largest marine research and education centers in the United States. Located along the glistening beaches of Gloucester Point, Virginia, VIMS provides research, education, and advisory services to government, citizens, students, and industry in coastal oceans and estuary science. Security Services within Facilities Management is seeking motivated and qualified applicants to apply for their hourly (part-time) Security Guard position.
The Security Guard provides security services to the Virginia Institute of Marine Science Gloucester Point Campus. Reporting to the Security Officer, the Security Guard works under direct supervision with some independent decision making.
