Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Security Engineer / Tenable SME.
Position: Full-time, Contract
Duration: 1 year++
Location: Remote - MUST be in the US!
As a Security Engineer/Tenable SME you will:
Technical Skills Required:
- Expert level Tenable.io AND Tenable.sc - Tier 2 or 3 with Tenable.
- TCP/IP Networking
- Unix/Linux System Administration
- Network packet capture and analysis - Wireshark
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong Tenable platform maintenance (tier 2) administration, troubleshooting, and support of a network vulnerability scanning solution covering the Corporate Tenable platform global network.
- Responsibilities include system administration of Linux (ubuntu & Redhat servers), network troubleshooting, and executing network vulnerability scan failure that are brought to the tier 2 team.
- Linux System maintenance and administration (Ubuntu & Redhat) - Creating users, creating groups, leveraging keys, deploy apps on/in Linux, SSH, Memory Usage, Monitor Health of System (system health checks), group assignment.
- Expert level knowledge of TCP/UDP protocols/services is required, including analysis of network packet captures using Wireshark and TCP-DUMP.
- Expert understanding and knowledge of the Tenable.io & Tenable SC platforms and network vulnerability scanning a must.
- You WILL NOT be doing the remediation or scanning yourself. You will be responsible to investigate and find the root cause of why the scanner is failing or false negatives or positives.
- Bash and/or Shell scripting is needed.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS: Pay Range*: $60-70 per hour W2.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
