Job Description

Research Associateresponsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Supports late-stage cell therapy products by participating in process characterization studies, process development sample testing and analytical assay development.
• Performs experiments, data processing, and presents results to internal departments and in technical reports
• Communicates scientific findings, provides status updates on assigned tasks in one-on-one discussions and within the project team and department meetings
• Contributes to the functions of the laboratory including ordering, organization, chemical and equipment monitoring, and maintenance

The ideal candidate would possess:

• Strong experience with mammalian cell culture
• Experience with DNA/RNA extractions and assays such as qPCR, ddPCR, or DNA/RNA quantitation
• Hands-on experience with QX ONE and QuantStudio 7 instrumentation preferred but not required
• Working knowledge of analytical method development and validation in a GMP environment
• Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to write and review SOPs, technical reports and scientific papers
• Ability to interact effectively with peers and managers as part of a multi-disciplinary team and work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or other related degree concentration
• 2 - 4 years of relevant experience
• Understanding of GMP requirements
