Responsibilities

  • Participate in projects that are complex and scientifically demanding within a specific area/field, specifically Bioanalytical separation.
  • Initiate, implement, plan, and execute scientific research and development.
  • Determine scientific rigor in assessing own data and that of others, by providing detailed observations, analyzing data, and interpreting results.
  • Ensure project goals are met within time and budget constraints.
  • Independently initiate, plan, design, evaluate, revise and execute projects within CGE, UPLC field, utilizing good scientific judgment.
  • Utilize specific investigation and method development work in support of multiple projects at a time.
  • Communicate and initiate investigations for project and process findings, draw conclusions, and act as project manager in the drafting of state-of-art work and publishing of papers.
  • Develop research findings and make recommendations to leadership for decision.
  • Provide forward-looking perspectives that contribute to "go/no go" decisions by leadership.
  • Research and Recommend outside technologies for consideration.


Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in a scientific field with 5+ years experience, or MS with 10+ years of specialized experience.
  • Deep understanding of challenges and method development approaches of mAb, vaccine and mRNA scientific field.
  • Must be familiar with monoclonal antibody and multi-specific antibodies; recombinant protein vaccine and nanoparticles; mRNA and mRNA/LNP vaccines.
  • Analytical skills and applications including, but are not limited to, developing release and characterization methods by utilizing reversed phase HPLC/or UPLC -UV methods, and HPLC/or UPLC - MS methods for pipeline project support.
  • Understand and utilize other bio-separation techniques such as electrophoresis, lab-on-chip separation.
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge working in the research/development laboratory environment.
  • Must demonstrate ability for scientific insight and conceptual thinking.
  • Must be a team player who can effectively work with members from cross-functional departments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of maintaining accurate and detailed records.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with computer software including word processing, data evaluation, and project time-line management.
