GeneralSummary….

The Safety Supervisor will be responsible fordeveloping and maintaining an industry leading safety culture that drivescontinuous improvement in areas of Environmental Safety and Health based onfederal, state, and company regulatory requirements. This individual isresponsible for developing, establishing, and maintaining all Environmental Safetyand Health programs. This role provides information, support and direction toall employees regarding work place health and safety.

This position will beresponsible for…..

  • Supervises at least 1or more full-time direct reports. Supervisory responsibilities include, but are not limited torecommending hiring, coaching, skills development, recognition and rewards,staff productivity and performance management to include disciplinary actionsup to and including terminations.
  • Plans, organizes andcontrols the day-to-day operations of the department; develops and implementspolicies and programs as necessary.
  • Plan, develop andmaintain environmental, health and safety policies and programs.
  • Works with all levels of Leadership and Employeesto identify and evaluate environmental, health and safety hazardous conditionsand practices in the workplace.
  • Maintaining Job Hazard Analystdocumentation and implement ideas created from the JHA.
  • Coordinates the implementation ofcontrols from results environmental, health and safety audits.
  • Is the main point of contact for all environmental,health and safety related accidents/incidents, calls, concerns, projects and initiatives.Takes initiative by making recommendations directly to the Leadership Team toprevent future environmental, health and safety issues.
  • Compile, analyze, interpret andenvironmental, health and safety misses including OSHA Recordable accidents,loss and exposure data.
  • Works with Operations Supervisors on environmental,health and safety incidents insuring that all reports and medical decisions arecorrectly made.
  • Communicates with the corporate officeto insure facility alignment with Company policies, procedures and OSHA andother compliance regulations.
  • Provide training, direction, leadershipto the environmental, health and safety Committee; publishing agendas andmeeting minutes and maintaining an overall effective Committee.
  • Conducts and coordinates on-siteinspections of physical conditions and safe work practices and behaviors.
  • Prepares schedule for environmental,health and safety representative weekly audits and communicates auditfindings/results.
  • Makes recommendations regarding SafetyCitations and corrective actions.
  • Develops and oversees all safety relatedincentive and awareness based programs to enhance facility performance.
  • Schedules and coordinates facilityevacuations and develop action plans to address opportunities.
  • Insures all environmental, health andsafety related reports are prepared accurately and timely (ie: OSHA log, CoreAudit compliance, 5S, Evacuations, facility SOAR and accident/incident analysischarts).

Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree inrelated field preferred and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of degree, highschool diploma or GED and 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Span of control must be at a departmentlevel or above.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast pace dynamicenvironment with tight deadlines a must.
  • Computer literacy at high level toinclude Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills.
  • Customer service driven.
  • Strong team player.
Physical/Cognitive Requirements

  • Ability to use hands tofinger, handle, or feel.

  • Must possess visualacuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception and theability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to lift/carryitems less than 30 pounds.

Pay Range: 65108.00 (Min) - 94323.00 (Mid) - 123538.00 (Max) Yearly
