RN Project Manager

Cincinnati Children's is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join Cincinnati Children's as a Patient Service Project Manager. This role is essential in determining resource and/or personnel needs for various projects within the institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting data, interpreting findings, setting priorities, and executing established plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Determine resource and/or personnel needs for various projects.

• Collect, interpret, and analyze data, and set priorities to carry out established plans.

• Conceptualize the meaning of reported data and translate this knowledge for stakeholders to promote the meaningful use of data to assess improvements.

• Track, update, and display department and project data.

• Oversee and evaluate action plans and products to collect, consolidate, and analyze project information.

• Request, obtain, and collate necessary data from various project leads and/or other appropriate sources.

• Collaborate with Acute and Critical SOCs and multiple departments such as IS, Anderson Center, and Supply Chain.

• Forward-thinking and proactive, considering the downstream effects of decisions.

• Solve problems not just at a microsystem level but also across SOC(s) and other departments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field. Master's degree preferred

• Strong analytical skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Effective relational leadership skills.

• Experience in quality improvement.

• Clinical expertise.

• Autonomous and self-motivated.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Project Management Coordination - Coordinate assigned projects including collaborating on project plans, budgets, and resource requirements. Identify and use appropriate project management tools and concepts (charters, scope management, budget management, risk/ issue management, communications management). Develops and execute work plans. Set priorities for tasks based on importance and urgency. Track progress and prepare internal reports. Prepare documents to support project management and reporting. Prepare and distribute project communication to internal and external clients. Identify people, process and infrastructure needs and act as liaison to ensure appropriate systems and reporting are maintained in support of project requirements. Create work products and project deliverables, both independently and under direction of team members. Understand and meet expectations for deliverable quality and timeliness.
  • Project Management Assistance and Administrative Support - Provides support for completion of projects and business plans. Coordinates and schedules logistics related to the assigned project i.e. meetings, progress reports, conferences, conference calls, and other appointments. May take and transcribe meeting minutes and distribute accordingly. Places orders for materials as needed and monitors budget for funded projects.
  • Data Analysis/Reporting - Perform primary and secondary data collection (e.g., literature reviews), summarize findings, draw appropriate conclusions, and effectively communicate results to team. Coordinate collection of data. Conduct/ support qualitative and quantitative analysis of project data. Support and execute regulatory/ reporting activities related to projects (e.g., IRB, updates/ reports to funding agencies, etc.)
  • Communication & Relationship Management: Manage communication to and relationships with key project stakeholders. Compose, edit, and deliver written and verbal communications. Facilitate small group discussions. Keep team members appropriately informed.

Direct Reports (TBD) Low Volume and/or Low Complexity of Projects. Complexity defined as a combination of project expenses per year, and number of stakeholders for full projects or assigned portions of projects.
