The Wet Wipes Quality Release Specialist (QRS) is responsible for raw material and finished goods control and acceptance, records coordination, document control, on-shift auditing, and for ensuring raw material, in-process product, and finished goods are meeting or exceeding standards for product safety and quality. The role is also responsible for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) specific requirements including quality regulations, deviation follow up and reporting, planned inspections/audits, quality procedures, verification/calibration and documentation of in-process testing equipment, Batch Lot Records, Quality Hold/Rework requests and Product Release. This position reports to the QA Team Leader.

In this role you will:

  • Enforce and understand GMP requirements, verify compliance, and react on any non-compliance

  • Maintain housekeeping in accordance with GMP standards

  • Ensure Good Documentation Practices are followed

  • Actively participate in development and review of quality assurance procedures, work instructions, training materials, and job aids

  • Document quality assurance activities and create reports

  • Verify In Process Acceptance (IPA) requirements and participate in Look and Feel as appropriate

  • Understand and articulate IPA defects to operations team and assists in development of an action plan to address any issues

  • Communicate during shift change any on-going issues, in progress activities and priorities, potential opportunities, and solutions

  • Identify material and processing issues, troubleshoot to root cause, and describe steps already taken to resolve the issue prior to calling additional resources

  • Determine the need for corrective action, ensure appropriate documentation and determine effectiveness of the action

  • Provide guidance to all shifts to encourage compliance with quality procedures and regulatory requirements

  • Perform and use on-shift audits to verify Quality System integrity through compliance with specifications, documentation accuracy, In Process Acceptance (IPA) accuracy, verification of in process test equipment, final lot acceptance and final lot release requirements

  • Know and understand department metrics and use information to take all appropriate corrective actions

  • Follow specified standards: test methods, specification changes, raw material release, and finished product release

  • Review and release incoming materials and components

  • Complete verification forms

  • Ensure raw material and Batch Lot files are accurately completed and filed

  • Complete all paperwork and system entries as required (Product/ raw material release, SAP system entries, SharePoint, etc.)

  • Participates in and/or assists in the completion of risk assessments as needed

  • Understands and performs appropriate document functions for Batch Lot Files and Finished Product Release

In one of our manufacturing roles, you'll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States

  • Have a state and/or US Department of Education accredited high school diploma or GED Grade 12 certificate

  • Have 1+ years of continuous work experience

  • Have 2+ years of quality experience at an FDA regulated manufacturing facility managing Quality Hold Events and leading rework activities

  • Have leadership / project manager experience

  • Have good communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Have a strong attention to detail and analytical skills

  • Are able to utilize problem solving skills to determine root cause (4SPS)

  • Have basic computer knowledge and good math skills: including working knowledge in Microsoft Office, with emphasis in Word and Excel, as well as other web-based and software-based programs

  • Are able to maintain a work schedule of 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime

  • Can pass a pre-employment assessment and a pre-employment drug + background screening

  • Can pass post-offer / pre-hire Physical Abilities Test (PAT)

* Degree in applicable science field preferred
