What You Will Contribute:


In this role you will be a leader for both the internal and external team. You will have the opportunity to collaborate across the organization and support our ability to win sales. An ideal candidate will have previous Proposal Administration experience, preferably using Qvidian and/or Salesforce, strong attention to detail, reading comprehension, and communication skills. You will be serving as the project manager between sales and various departments (Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing) and customers, and incorporating the resulting recommendations in our proposal response.

Job Duties:

  • Structure and manage project strategy meetings for all turnkey projects and communicate a winning strategy to the members of the Proposal team.
  • Assist with and prepare formal contracts, bids, and requests for proposal (RFP) in response to customers' specifications and requirements.
  • Communicate and organize the completion of Bids, RFPs and Contracts (organizing all projects, communicating document type modifications to end-users, coordinating meetings with other Qualified Plan Administrators (QPAs), ensuring timely arrival of bids and requests).
  • Draft Bid, RFO, and Contract content and/or edit material provided by subject matter experts and writing contributors.
  • Receive, analyze, and prepare bids and requests for proposal to be sent out.
  • Determine the appropriate product configurations that meet the specifications using systems and subject matter experts when necessary.
  • Prepare cover letter, complete formal bid documents and compose and/or edit responses as appropriate, prepare bid bonds or certified checks, insurance requirements and attaches appropriate bulletins, specifications and certifications.
  • Train new personnel on applicable aspects of bid and contract processing and proposal preparation.
  • Lead liaison for the Business System and products integrating into and maintaining the Department Policies and Procedures.
  • Participate in continuing education courses and professional organizations (APMP Membership & Certification) to stay up to date on Badger Meter products and state-of-the-art business practices.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, English, Journalism, Communications or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in project management or a related field desired

Qualifications:
  • APMP Certification preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce/Qvidian preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Pro or a similar software required
  • Advanced proficiency in Word and Excel required
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines required
