The Role
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
This position is intended for the E25 Test Engineering Material, Equipment, and Shop group. The incumbent will be responsible for:
• Leading the group's material procurement team.
• Managing the flow and administration of material and equipment that is processed by our group.
• Procuring material through the NNS company stock system, Perfect Commerce System, using an NNS Procurement Card, submitting purchases requisitions in SAP for purchase order generation, and reconciling transactions under multiple existing blanket purchase orders for external services.
• Navigating a multitude of decision points regarding appropriate procurement methods and appropriate tracking and identification of material and equipment based on situational specifics.
• Utilizing and becoming proficient in the IndySoft program, the SAP roles/modules needed to perform his/her job (Government Property, FSR submittals/leases, company stock req, purchase req./PO, EBOM, etc.), and our departmental databases.
• Liaising with the many internal and external suppliers and customers that our group interfaces with.
• Holding an NNS Procurement Card, properly managing it, and accurately and thoroughly reconciling transactions made using it.
• Providing status to team, immediate management, and customers.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 1 years of relevant professional experience
