  • Independently develop analytical models using FEA software packages to solve complex dynamic analysis problems.
  • Conduct dynamic analysis and design of structures and equipment to resist blast loads from high explosives, vapor cloud explosions, and bursting pressure vessels.
  • Perform non-linear, transient dynamic analysis of concrete and steel structures as well as other advanced materials using Anti-terrorism/Force protection (AT/FP).
  • Execute blast resistant structural analysis and design (i.e., conceptual and final) of diverse facilities including control rooms, warehouses, I&E shops, maintenance shops and administration facilities in support of Facility Siting Studies (FSS), Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA), and protective containment structures.
  • Perform site inspections to collect structural data.
  • Support explosion incident investigations by surveying structural damage to determine the magnitude of explosion blast loads, directional indicator mapping to determine explosion sources, evidence collection and storage to maintain chain of custody, among other related activities.
  • Prepare technical reports and calculation documents.
  • Develop tools for internal use to increase engineers' efficiency, investigating potential new techniques to design and analyze structures, create dashboards for clients to review results, etc.
