This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Manager, Urinalysis Reagents Manufacturing , you will be responsible for :

  • Driving a 24/5 production department with direct reports who are salaried supervisors across each shift.
  • Driving the overall success of the business through development and implementation of a strategic plan for the Urinalysis department.
  • Acting with a strong sense of urgency, driving accountability across all levels of the organization.
  • Managing and developing all the respective workflow processes to ensure all production targets (Quality, Quantity, and Delivery On-Time) are achieved.
  • Understanding and complying with all aspects of the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Overseeing assigned technologically demanding and complex processes in an automated production environment, which do need a specialized, experienced, and well vocationally trained work force.
  • Ensuring optimum machine utilization across multiple shifts.
  • Production scheduling and planning material needs based on production requirements.
  • Practical experience in methods such as: Structured Problem Solving, Hoshin Kanri, Value Stream Mapping, Agile Visual Management, Healthy Dialogue Methods, and GROWs Coaching.
  • Execute with discipline and continuously improve daily, weekly, and monthly standard work.
  • Partnering with cross functional support teams i.e., Safety, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Facilities, etc. to execute department goals and maintain compliance.

  • You have excellent PC skills (MS Office software like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • You are willing and capable of learning about new software and hardware solutions.
  • You are a confident and effective communicator with strong interpersonal and team management skills, driven to achieve goals and exceed expectations.
  • You understand the demands of a manufacturing environment and its needed support.
  • You are familiar with an inventory management system such as SAP.
  • Team player with proven ability in leadership and problem solving.
  • You are customer focused.
Required skills to have for the success of this role include:

  • Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Experience as a leader of leaders preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
  • Experience working in an ISO and/or FDA regulated environment a plus.
