As a Product Designer, you will support the Delfield brand and be responsible for timely, efficient, and accurate completion of presentation drawings to meet and exceed our customer expectations.

Qualifications

Major Accountability

  • Providing accurate and prompt completion of presentation drawings
  • Under close supervision, work with Sales Engineers and Product Engineers to best determine how to meet the customer's needs with reasonable equipment designs and functions.
  • Possess a foundational understanding of Computer Aided Design (Pro-E, AutoCAD, etc.) programs and procedures, knowledge of basic drafting standards and guidelines, and knowledge of equipment standards and manufacturing processes that may dictate a practical design.
  • Prepares presentation drawings of Delfield equipment to meet customer requirements and expectations as well as provides Engineering and Manufacturing with working drawings.
  • Communicates ideas and participates in projects geared towards continuous improvement of customer satisfaction, speed of service and drawing accuracy.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Gain knowledge of product line including applications, regulations, and limitations.
  • Complete assigned projects accurately and within the determined metrics.
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Product Engineers to provide best-in-class products and designs.
  • Provide best-in-class customer service and assistance during the product design processes.
  • Maintain drawing blocks and menus to streamline processes.
  • Consistently operate in a manner that aligns to the Company Core Values.
Specialized Skills, Knowledge and Abilities - Include Certifications, Licenses and software and/or equipment used to perform the job
  • Has the ability to multi-task and effectively communicate (written and verbal)
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to understand construction documents and specifications.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Able to lift 35 lbs., walk on the manufacturing floor, stand for extended periods of time, sit for extended periods of time, travel by air, or car. Overtime as required to meet customer demand.
