POSITION TITLE: Processor TEMP, Financial AidPOSITION SUMMARY:
Assists the financial aid office with support services for processing student financial aid. This role will provide temporary backfill for duties currently fulfilled by the director, assistant director, tech analyst, and other staff as their focus and priorities shift into the successful implementation of Colleague SaaS.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assists with running technical/automated processes for the Financial Aid Office within all applicable software systems, on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis as needed.
2. Assists with document intake, clerical duties, imaging/scanning, and file pre-processing.
3. Assist with the review of student documentation for completeness, accuracy and to resolve outstanding items such as IL Residency, loan limits, bankruptcy, and veteran/active-duty status.
4. Responsible for the weekly Suspicious Student (fraud) process.
5. Run, evaluate, and work reports to assist with financial aid processing.
6. Assist with student outreach.
7. Assist with general front desk, email, and chat duties.
8. Assist with Financial Aid Application Completion Events / workshops.
9. Assist with day-to-day operational functions of the Financial Aid Office, including, but not limited to, federal, state, and institutional financial aid application and delivery processes.
10. Ability to function as an effective team member and support and adapt to change.
11. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and protect student information in compliance with FERPA and HEA laws.
12. Other Financial Aid related duties, as assigned.
13. Perform related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Associate's Degree.
2. Two (2) years of general office/clerical experience.
3. Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, and ability to work effectively independently, as well as in a team setting.
4. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to handle multiple work priorities and project and manage deadlines.
6. Demonstrated commitment to the college's core values of respect and inclusion, sustainability, integrity, collaboration, humor and well-being, innovation and quality.
7. Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams basic skills required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent.
2. Two (2) years of financial aid experience.
3. Experience with Ellucian Colleague Financial Aid ERP module.
4. Experience with Perceptive Content ImageNow.
5. Experience with Dept. of Ed. processing on Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) System and National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS).
6. English, Spanish and/or other languages verbal and written communication proficiency.
7. Demonstrated multicultural competence.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Normal office physical demands.
2. Ability to travel between campus locations and to and from community events.
3. Ability to travel in state and nationally.
WORKING CONDITIONS
* Duties are performed indoors in the usual office environment.
