In this exciting role, you'll:
- Act as the sole payroll processor and backup for the Senior Accountant as needed
- Process full-cycle payroll for 250+ employees across multiple states
- Audit and review bi-weekly timesheets
- Process timesheet input in payroll software to generate checks, direct deposits, and reports, meeting payroll submission deadlines set by third-party providers.
- Reconcile and transmit files for retirement plans and garnishment
- Maintain and update payroll records, including deductions, exemptions, and direct deposit information.
- Collaborate with HR to manage payroll-related inquiries, adjustments, and reports.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare reports for management and auditing purposes.
- Support special projects such as system upgrades or payroll software implementation.
You'll be a great fit if you have:
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience, including multi-state payroll
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree
- Highly Preferred: Experience in the engineering, construction, or consulting industry.
