A respected law firm known for its excellence in client service and legal expertise, is seeking a Paralegal Manager to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation as a paralegal, paired with some supervisory or management experience. As a Paralegal Manager, you will oversee a team of paralegals, ensuring high-quality legal support and efficient case management. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of paralegals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective case management and high-quality work.
  • Coordinate and allocate workloads among paralegals, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial materials.
  • Develop and implement procedures and workflows to improve efficiency and consistency within the paralegal department.
  • Review and evaluate the work of paralegals to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to ensure effective communication and case strategy implementation.
  • Provide support to attorneys in trial preparation, including managing case files, discovery responses, exhibits, and witness preparation.
  • Assist in managing departmental budgets and tracking billable hours, ensuring the team meets productivity goals.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting professional development and continuous learning among team members.
  • Stay updated on legal industry trends, technologies, and best practices to keep the team current and efficient.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience as a paralegal, with at least 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong understanding of the legal process, particularly in litigation, corporate, real estate, and intellectual property.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Proficiency in legal research, document management, and case management software (e.g., Clio, Relativity, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor and motivate a team, with a focus on continuous improvement and professional development.
