Posting Summary:The Supportive Service for Veteran Families (SSVF) program provides assistance to very low-income Veteran families who are experiencing homelessness and/or are at imminent risk of homelessness to gain and retain stable housing. The Northern Vermont Veteran Outreach Supervisor will oversee and provide administrative supervision to an SSVF team consisting of 9 employees that will cover the northern part of Vermont. They will participate in statewide Veteran specific Community meetings as a specialist for the SSVF Rapid Rehousing and Homeless Prevention services. Work with the Program Director to develop training materials related to the development, implementation, and growth of the SSVF Program initiatives and community-based services. Review all documentation submitted for compliance and submit to the Program Director for final approval.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field and two to four years' related experience required. Effective verbal and written communications skills and interpersonal skills required. Demonstrated ability to use computerized case management applications required. Experience with creating and implementing training curriculum required. Supervision experience.
Desirable Qualifications:Master's degree in related field. Experiential knowledge as a military veteran and/or with homelessness; training, education, or experience with social services support desirable. Knowledge of the HUD Homeless Management Information System desired.
Anticipated Pay Range:$62,000-$70,000
Special Conditions:External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Contingent on continued funding, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Travel to and from worksites required, This position is eligible for full-time telework in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
