Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer specialized in Aruba Routing and Switching equipment, as well as Aruba Access Points. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our network infrastructure, with a focus on implementing and maintaining Aruba-based solutions. A strong understanding of Network Access Control (NAC) systems, advanced routing protocols, and network fundamentals is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

Significant Duties and Responsibilities include: Design, implement, and maintain network solutions utilizing Aruba Routing and Switching equipment and Aruba Access Points.; Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, routers, access points, and associated components.; Deploy and configure Network Access Control (NAC) systems to ensure network security and compliance with organizational policies.; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions that meet campus requirements.; Perform network capacity planning and optimization to ensure scalability and performance.; Monitor network performance and reliability, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.; Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.; Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to network engineering and Aruba networking solutions.; Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the network engineering team.; Assist with the management of Uninterruptible Power Supplies that protect communication equipment.; Provide technical assistance to any 3rd party vendors in need of network support.; Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve WiFi issues.; Must be able to lift at least 35 lbs.; Assist with making changes to DNS, DHCP, SMTP and NTP services.; Willing to work in an ever-changing team-oriented environment; Constantly review new technologies and standards, and make recommendations as appropriate.; Understand and make recommendations to management if any changes to the network may impact service availability.; All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 5+ years experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications include: The candidate for the position should have one or more of the following Certifications: Aruba Certified Switching Professional.; Aruba Certified Mobility Professional.; Cisco Certified Network Associate CCNA.; Network+.; Security+.

Proposed Salary

The proposed annualized salary range for this position is $66,468 - $70,000.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities include: Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Aruba Routing and Switching equipment, as well as Aruba Access Points.; Experience with Network Access Control (NAC) systems, such as Aruba ClearPass, for authentication, authorization, and enforcement.; Deep understanding of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, OSI model, subnetting, VLANs, and DHCP.; Strong knowledge of advanced routing protocols, such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.; Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.; Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.; Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.; Relevant certifications (e.g., Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP), Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP), Cisco CCNP) are a plus.
