i3 is seeking a Network Administrator. The successful candidate should have a thorough knowledge of network architecture, design, implementation, and support. The candidate must be capable of working in both a team environment on enterprise projects and be capable of working independently to resolve technical issues. Knowledge of Tactical networks and communication systems is beneficial.
Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain LAN and WAN system hardware (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.) using primarily Cisco hardware.
  • Design, maintain and document network solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols.
  • Secure networks by developing network access controls and policies that align with DISA STIGs.
  • Ensure system security in compliance with Army and customer policies.
  • Understand network security devices and their output.
  • Ensure reliable backup and recovery from circuit and hardware outages.
  • Provides network performance statistics, reports, and recommendations for network enhancements.
  • Apply firmware and software patches as required to hardware.
  • Perform other hardware and software tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • BS degree in related discipline preferred.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience
  • Certifications: CCNA or required to attain within 90 days.
  • Must have Security+, comparable certificate, or ability to achieve 8570/8140 compliance within 60 days of hiring.
  • Cisco IOS installation, maintenance, and STIG management as required for switching, routing and firewall environments at advance configuration and troubleshooting skill levels.
  • Able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Cisco DNA Center experience desirable.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a full Secret clearance. Active Secret clearance preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regular i3 hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
