Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 327-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

The Focus of Ritter Supportive Housing
Ritter is a 45-bed coed short-term/acute-care transitional housing program that works with clients aged 18 and over with a diagnosis of a mental illness or a co-occurring disorder such as substance use.Clients receive skills training and care coordination to reach the next step of recovery, which would be independent community living for most residents. Length of stay varies, ranging from 5 days up to 18 months, depending on individual treatment needs.
Where You Fit In
The Support Specialist provides skills training and development to clients. Skills training and development includes but is not limited to home management (laundry, cooking, cleaning, shopping, budgeting and payee-ships), self-care management (bathing, dressing, grooming, nutrition, medication consistency, assisting with medical follow-up, attending medical appointments), emotion management (communication skills, decision-making skills, coping skills, anger management)
What to Expect
Support Specialists assist our clients in advancing toward the next stage of their recovery in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. In addition to skill training and development, this position provides crisis management and emergency interventions, including but not limited to CPR and CPI, as well as quality case management.
