Job Description
The Political Science Department at Wellesley College invites applications for a two-year Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship in political theory beginning in Fall 2025. We seek a scholar trained in comparative political theory with a particular interest in candidates whose research focuses on non-Western theorists or texts. Substantive areas of expertise could include the political theory of Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, South or East Asia; indigenous political thought; or environmental political theory and climate justice. Candidates should have received their Ph.D. within the last five years (ABD considered) of the time of appointment. For both years, the Fellow will teach one course each semester. The Fellow will also be expected to mentor students and participate in programming for the Political Science Department, in consultation with the department chair.
