Shift: Sunday- Thursday 10AM-6:30PM

Location: 2 Tesseneer Drive, Highland Heights, KY 41076

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide variety of clinical laboratory analyses, including assays that define complicated disorders of the cardiovascular, endocrine, hematological, hemostatic, thrombolytic, and renal systems.
  • Evaluate individual and related laboratory data, recognizing patterns or trends that suggest the significance of results.
  • Perform, review, and interpret complex and routine chemical, hematological, coagulation, renal, lipid, and hormonal analyses using manual, automated, and/or microscopic means.
  • Integrate analytical results with specific and highly varied clinical trial protocols to evaluate credibility, appropriateness, and accuracy of test results.
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair clinical laboratory equipment, ensuring routine preventative maintenance, calibrations, and safety checks.
  • Evaluate analytical reagents, calibrators, and QC standards to ensure the accuracy of analytical results.
  • Evaluate quality control procedures, analyze results, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Assist in ongoing statistical data analysis to detect trends and problems, undertaking corrective actions.
  • Proficiency in clinical laboratory analysis techniques and protocols.
  • Familiarity with operating and troubleshooting clinical laboratory equipment.
  • Proficient in statistical data analysis and interpretation.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 2 years') or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.
Years of experience refers to typical years of related experience needed to gain the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. Years of experience are not to be used as the only determining factor in establishing the job class or making employment selection decisions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) preferred.
